Middle Eastern Belly Dance and Latin Performances
Wednesday evening’s at Alici’s Bistro
This summer, Alici’s Bistro will be offering live World Dance Performances every Wednesday night starting in June.
The line up includes Middle Eastern Belly Dancers as well as Latin Dancers. Shows will be performed 8:30 and 9:30 at the Martini Bar and will rotate week to week offering a variety of entertainment and special international fare prepared by Alici’s Culinary team.
The beautiful and ancient art form of Belly Dancing traditionally adorns family and community celebrations. The movements of the dance contain elements from India, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean countries of Turkey and Greece. The Belly dancers will perform primarily Arabic/Turkish Cabaret.
On Latin Nights, dancers will draw on traditions of flamenco, Egyptian cabaret, and modern Latin dances like salsa and mambo. Popularly known as Andalusian Fusion, this dance has roots in both Spain and the Middle East, and continues to evolve as Arabic musicians incorporate conventional Latin rhythms and flamenco-style vocals into their more traditional Middle Eastern repertoires.
The expressive dance styles and interpretation of music will be an added pleasure to the Alici Bistro dining experience.
